At MyPodiatry, We Specialise in Custom Orthotics. As Podiatrists, we are uniquely qualified to assess, prescribe and manage orthotic treatment with precision. That means you can feel confident in your Podiatrist.
Orthotics are Custom-Made Inserts that go inside your shoes to improve how your feet and body move.
They are commonly used to help with conditions such as heel pain (plantar fasciitis), knee pain, flat feet, shin splints and recurring injuries.
At MyPodiatry, we go beyond simple arch supports. Our approach uses modern, evidence-based methods to assess how your entire lower limb functions, including how you walk, move, and where stress is building up.
This allows us to design orthotics that redistribute pressure, target the source of your pain and support long term improvement.

I designed my first pair of foot orthoses in 2014 and have continued to refine my approach through years of clinical experience and collaboration with leading orthotic laboratories in Ireland. While many people call them insoles or arch supports, true Custom Foot Orthoses are prescription medical devices designed following a detailed biomechanical assessment. Every detail matters, from diagnosis and design to material selection and finishing.
I trained for 4 years at the National University of Ireland Galway and spent a further 4 years working in private practice and within the HSE. In 2023, I opened MyPodiatry in Castletroy and significantly advanced our orthotic service to deliver greater precision, comfort, and performance.
We use advanced 3D Digital Design technology to achieve superior fit and shape accuracy, ensuring each device is tailored to your unique biomechanics. Our Orthoses are manufactured using PA11, a Durable, Lightweight, 100% bio-based polymer that produces minimal waste, and finished with Durafit™ top covers for long-lasting performance.
Every Orthosis is prescribed as part of a structured treatment plan, considering your diagnosis, activity level, footwear, and long-term goals, resulting in a device that works exactly as intended.

Thorough Biomechanical Assessment
After your Assessment, we bring together your Diagnosis, Gait Analysis, Foot Shape, Activity Level, and Footwear to design your Orthoses properly. We don’t use basic “Arch Support” models. Instead, we design Devices to reduce strain on Injured Tissues and improve overall Foot Function.

Bespoke Design of Your Custom Orthoses using Modern Techniques
Your Orthoses are made using advanced 3D Printing Technology called Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). This allows us to create Devices that are Thin, Lightweight, and Highly Durable -strong without being Bulky.

We use High-Quality, Long-Lasting Materials designed for Everyday Wear and Sport. Each Orthotic is finished with a Comfortable Top Cover that feels good in your Shoe and stands up to Daily Use.

A Fitting Appointment to Ensure it Fits like a Glove
At your fitting appointment, we ensure your orthoses sit correctly in your footwear and feel comfortable under load. We assess walking mechanics with the devices in place, make any minor adjustments if needed, and provide clear guidance on wear-in schedules to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
